Review - iDigital Stereo Earphones
Introducing the iDigtal Stereo Earphones purchased for $2.00 from the Reject Shop. The packaging proudly proclaims that they are suitable for use with digital and MP3 music; which is good because it would have been worrying if they were not. Now, on with the review
Construction
The design of the headphones is ordinary, with little to differentiate it with other comparable products on the market. The quality of the construction is very average with light weight plastic materials being the norm in this price range. A positive feature is that the earphones have labels which indicator which ear each earpiece is meant for. Although it may seem like a trivial detail, there are many earphones, including more expensive models that do not have this.
The ear pieces are lacking a rubber coating that many other earphones have, making them a little uncomfortable and awkward to fit in the ear. The ear pieces did not fit securely and would fall out without much difficulty; making them unsuitable to wear while jogging or exercising.
Listening Test
Audio quality in general is fairly poor. The bass is very weak, the high ends lack clarity and the mid range sounds very muddy and distorted. It leaves one thinking what earphones the designers were referring to when they mentioned high fidelity sound quality on the packaging because there is little to be found here.
Summary
Considering the price of the iDigital Stereo Earphones, the lack of quality is not surprising. These are not recommended unless there are absolutely no other options available.
